YOUTH ERA in Moskou
The Russion Union of Youth and ECYC are organising an international educational youth conference: “Europe-Russia-Asia Intercultural dialogue and youth participation”. It is a conference for youth workers, youth leaders en youth volunteers that takes place in Moscow (Russia) on 19-25 April 2010.
All-Russian public organization “Russian Union of Youth” is one of the biggest youth organizations in Russia that has regional branches in 73 constituent territories of the state, RUY has a big history and good foundation. Russian Union of Youth develops in many directions, has more then 20 central programmes that aims at the development of young person and gives him the opportunity for the realisation. RUY has many international contacts: it is the member of European Confederation of Youth Clubs and one of the founders of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Youth Council.
People in Eurasia continent is very different from each other. The representatives of the countries has they own cultures and traditions, not similar with each other. In the processes of globalization, there are many movements in the societies and many other spheres as economical, industrial, political, humanitarian, cultural, educational, ecological and so on. The integration approaches all the habitants, so we have to think about the relations of people at the continent.
Youth is very important part of our sustainable development so we have to think about its future and the possibility to have constructive friendly dialogue. We have many humanitarian, economical and politician associations, that aims at consolidation. Such organisations as Council of Europe has its values in the sphere of realisation human rights and democracy and has as members almost all countries of the European part of the continent, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation that has it’s values in the sphere of economical and humanitarian development that covers the biggest part of Eurasia continent.
The Conference will bring together participants from different countries of our continent at about 50 people – the representatives from the Council of Europe member-states, the representatives from member-states and observer states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, also the representatives of different regions of Russia will take part in the Conference and Moscow young citizens and youth leaders will have . The participants will get some knowledge in the human rights education, will have the opportunity to meet with the expert of COE and SCO processes and share the experience in the sphere of human rights education in their countries and exchange best practices in the sphere of human rights education. Participants will discuss the youth policy and the role of youth in the youth policy, challenge the intercultural dialogue in Eurasia continent. Participants will make the declaration to the Directorate of youth and sport Council of Europe and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as a result of their work and to the participants of 5th World Youth Congress.
Human Rights Education Programme in 2009 had its Anniversary and now we will have the possibility to change the experience and implement new methods of work for youth. The Convention on human rights of the Council of Europe is 60 years old in 2010. In 2009 in the CIS countries and in Russia had the Year of Youth and this Year is the International Year of Youth, proclaimed by UN, the year will start in August, 12th at the 5th World Youth Congress.
Cultures in Europe and Asia are different but nevertheless have many in common. Moscow will gather young people as multicultural city and will play the role of the bridge in the dialogue between Europe and Asia.
The participants will have the opportunity to publish their essay with the theme “Youth ERA – intercultural dialogue” in the electronic digest.
